February 20, two postage stamps dedicated to the lieutenant colonel Anatoly Lebed and warrant officer Alexander Krasikov to be put into circulation in the “Heroes of the Russian Federation” series



Anatoly Vyacheslavovich Lebed (1963–2012) was a guards lieutenant colonel of the 45th separate reconnaissance special task regiment of landing forces named after Kutuzov and Alexander Nevsky, Hero of the Russian Federation. For his courage and heroism in the performance of military duty in the north Caucasus Anatoly Lebed was awarded the title of Hero of the Russian Federation by the RF President’s decree of 6 April 2005.



Alexander Vladimirovich Krasikov (1958−2005) was a warrant officer at the Federal Security Service, a posthumous Hero of the Russian Federation by the RF President’s decree of 4 November 2005.

The postage stamps depict the portraits of the Heroes of the Russian Federation and the Gold Star medal.

In addition to the postage stamp release, JSC Marka is to produce FDCs and special cancellation postmarks for Moscow and Saint Petersburg.

Size of stamp: 42×30 mm; size of sheets: 104×110 mm.
Form of issue: sheets with illustrated margins of 5 (2×3) stamps and a coupon.
