December 18, a postage stamp was put into circulation dedicated to Yevgeny Primakov, a Russian statesman



Yevgeny Maksimovich Primakov was an outstanding statesman and a public figure, diplomat, member of the USSR Academy of Science, winner of state awards, recipient of the Order for Merit to the Fatherland.

He kept leading positions throughout his life, his name is associated with Russia’s transition to a multi-vector foreign policy, political stabilization in the country and positive economic changes. He was a leading national orientalist, prominent scientist in global economy and international relations, theory and practice of international conflict resolution, study of the world civilizational process, global concerns, social and economic problems of developing countries.

The postage stamp depicts a portrait of Yevgeny Primakov and the star and badge of the Order for Merit to the Fatherland.

In addition to the stamp, JSC Marka has issued a FDC and a special cancellation postmark for Moscow.
