November 23, an envelope with a commemorative stamp dedicated to the 350th anniversary of Jonathan Swift to be put into circulation in the "World Cultural Celebrities" series


Jonathan Swift (1667-1745) was an English and Irish author and satirist, political writer, philosopher, poet and public person. Best known for writing the famous Gulliver's Travels wittily satirizing human and social vices.

The envelope features a composition of various art symbols: a lyre, palette, book, pen, pillar and theatre curtain. Jonathan Swift's portrait is against a broadside of the book with his own illustration.

In addition, JSC "Marka" is to produce a special cancellation postmark for Moscow.
