November 16, four postage stamps dedicated to the Diamond Fund of the Russian Federation to be put into circulation in the “Treasures of Russia” series

The Diamond Fund of Russia forms a part of the State Fund of Precious Metals and Precious Stones of the Russian Federation. The fund houses one of the most renowned and largest collections of unique precious stones, noble metals and pieces of jewelry art, which have great historic, artistic, scientific and material value.




The postage stamps depict the treasures of Russia’s Diamond Fund: the Orlov diamond, the Russian globus cruciger, emerald brooch and pendant with a magenta-pink tourmaline.

In addition to the postage stamps, JSC “Marka” is to issue a FDC and a special cancellation postmark for Moscow.

Design: А. Moskovets.
Face value: 22 RUB each stamp.
Size of stamps: 37×37 mm, size of sheet: 131×131 mm.
Form of issue: sheet with illustrated margins of 9 (3×3) stamps.
Circulation: 225 thousand stamps of each value (25 thousand sheets).
