September 13, four postage stamps are issued as part of the Contemporary Art of Russia series

The postage stamps feature works of such honored artists as V. Koshelev, A. Teslik, A. Gorsky, N. Kolupaev.



Valery Koshelev - People's Artist of the Russian Federation, professor, member of the Union of Russian Artists, the Russian Academy of Arts, the International Association of Fine Arts of UNESCO. He took part in city, national, regional and all-Russian exhibitions. The artist's works are represented in the museums of Russia and Finland.



Aleksandr Teslik - People's Artist of the Russian Federation, academician, member of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Arts and the Union of Russian Artists. Member of Moscow, Russia, All-Union and international exhibitions. He was awarded a silver medal and certificate of the Russian Academy of Arts, a laureate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation award in the area of literature, culture and art for a series of the graphic arts “Moscow firefighters”.



Andrei Gorsky (1926-2015) - honored Artist of the Russian SFSR, member of the USSR Union of artists in painting section. Participant of the exhibition of Soviet art in Paris under the patronage of UNESCO, of the exhibitions in the Central House of Artists, dedicated to Moscow's 850th anniversary. The artist's works are represented in the Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow, in private collections, in the largest museums and galleries in Russia, Italy, Japan, the USA, France and other countries.



Nikolai Kolupaev - People's Artist of the Russian Federation, professor, member of the Moscow Union of Artists. Participant of numerous exhibitions. Laureate of the Russian Art Gallery Award. In 2014 he created stained-glass windows for the arches of the building of the Ministry of Defense of Russian Federation on naberezhnaya Frunzenskaya. In 2015 he was awarded the Honorary Diploma of the President of Russia. The artist's works are housed in the Kiev National Museum of Russian Art, Orel Picture Gallery and Belgorod Museum of Art.
