September 1, a postage stamp dedicated to the Normandie-Niemen Regiment to be issued as part of the joint issue of the Russian Federation and the French Republic
The Normandie-Niemen Regiment was a French aviation regiment, who fought during the Second World War against the Nazi invaders in the territory of the Soviet Union. During the fighting on the Soviet-German front of the Second World War, the regiment pilots flew 5,240 sorties, carried out about 900 air battles, won about 300 battles, damaged more than 80 German airplanes. 96 pilots were awarded Soviet and French military awards, four were awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union.
The postage stamp depicts a bas-relief with a group of soldiers who fought during the Second World War as part of the Normandie-Niemen Regiment.

September 5, a postcard with an original stamp dedicated to the international contest of young performers of popular music “New Wave” to be issued
“New Wave” is the annual international contest of young performers of popular music. From 2002 to 2014 it was held in Jurmala, the Latvian resort, since 2015 the contest has been held in Sochi, the Krasnodar Territory.
This music contest gives an opportunity find new young talented artists. For years the heads of various states gave high assessment to this international music event. Every year, on the day of the opening ceremony of the “New Wave”, texts of welcome telegrams from presidents of Russia, CIS and Baltic countries, Europe and many others are heard from the stage. In 2017, “New Wave” will place its concert venue in the Olympic Park and the contest will be held there from 8 to 14 September.

September 21, a postage stamp dedicated to the 100th birth anniversary of Indira Gandhi
Indira Gandhi (1917-1984) was an Indian statesman, Prime Minister of India in 1966-1977 and 1980-1984.
She was born in November 19, 1917 in Allahabad, her father, Jawaharlal Nehru, was the first prime minister of independent India, a leader of the party “Indian National Congress”. Since 1955 Indira Gandhi is a member of the Working Committee and a member of the Central Election Commission of the Indian National Congress (INC), a chairman of the women's organization of this party and a member of the Central Parliamentary Council of the All India Committee of the INC, in 1959-1960. Gandhi becomes a chairman of the INC. From 1966 to 1977, she held the post of Prime Minister of India. In 1971, war with Pakistan began, in which Gandhi signed the Treaty of Peace, Friendship and Cooperation with the USSR. Indira Gandhi always pursued a policy of friendship with the USSR, she often visited this country.

Marina Ivanovna Tsvetaeva (1892-1941) was a poet, one of the most outstanding representatives of the Russian Silver Age.
Tsvetaeva's poetry is characterized by romantic maximalism, the motives of loneliness, the tragic doom of love, the rejection of everyday existence, intonational-rhythmic expressiveness, metaphoricality, emotional tension, the energy of feeling, the conciseness of thought, the speed of the development of lyrical action, intonational and rhythmic diversity, stylistic and lexical contrasts, unusual syntax.
The envelope depicts books; the stamp depicts a portrait of Marina Tsvetaeva.

The Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation was formed on December 8, 1832. Before the beginning of the Great Patriotic War more than 600 officers and generals of the highest military qualification were trained at the Academy. During the war, 63 pupils of the Academy became Heroes of the Soviet Union. For the merits in the training of military personnel, the Academy was awarded the Order of Suvorov I degree (1945); The Order of Lenin (1968); the Order of the Red Banner of Battle (1986); nine orders of foreign states.

The 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ will be the 21st edition of the tournament and is set to take place from 14 June until 15 July 2018.
The FIFA 2018 World Cup in Russia ™ will be held in 11 cities: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Samara, Saransk, Rostov-on-Don, Sochi, Kazan, Kaliningrad, Volgograd, Nizhny Novgorod and Ekaterinburg.
Samara was founded in 1586 as a guard fortress. Today the city is a major economic, transport, scientific, educational and cultural center. September 28, postage stamps dedicated to Senior Lieutenant Vladislav Dolonin and Major of Police Viktor Matveev to be issued as part of the Heroes of the Russian Federation series
Vladislav Aleksandrovich Dolonin (1969-1995) was a commander of the special task group of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, senior lieutenant. By the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of October 13, 1995 Vladislav Dolonin was awarded the title of Hero of the Russian Federation (posthumously) for the courage and heroism shown in the performance of a special task.
Viktor Vladimirovich Matveyev (1963-2001) was the Head of the Department of the SBR under the Moscow police department, major of the police. By the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of November 17, 2001, Viktor Matveyev was awarded the title of Hero of the Russian Federation (posthumously) for courage and heroism shown during the counter-terrorist operation in the North Caucasus region.
