John Galsworthy (1867–1933) was an English writer, novelist and playwright, and the Nobel Prize in Literature winner (1932).
Two trilogies,
The Forsyte Saga (1922) and its sequel,
A Modern Comedy (1928), where he demonstrated morals and psychology of the English commercial upper-middle class, won him world fame and the Nobel Prize. John Galsworthy authored 20 novels, 27 plays, 3 poetry collections, 173 stories, 5 essays, 700 letters, and many other sketches on various topics.
