On August 3, five postage stamps dedicated to the 19th World Festival of Youth and Students to be issued
The World Festivals of Youth and Students are held since 1947. The event is organized by the World Federation of Democratic Youth and the International Union of Students. The first World Festival of Youth and Students was held under the slogan ‘For Peace and Friendship’ in Prague in 1947. It was attended by 17,000 participants from 71 countries. The following festivals were held in capitals of the Eastern Europe: Budapest (1949), Berlin (1951), Bucharest (1953), Warsaw (1955), Moscow (1957), Vienna (1959), Helsinki (1962), Sofia (1968), Berlin (1973), Havana (1978), Moscow (1985), Pyongyang (1989), Havana (1997), Algeria (2001), Caracas (2005), Pretoria (2010), and Ecuador (2013).
The postage stamp design uses miniature pictures issued in the Soviet Union for the World Festivals of Youth and Students in 1978 (Havana), 1973 (Berlin), 1957 (Moscow), 1985 (Moscow), and 1989 (Pyongyang).
Additionally, JSC “Marka” will manufacture an illustrated cover with four stamps and first day cover with cancellation (Moscow) inside and also five maximum cards.

August 4, a stamp booklet dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Bakhchisaray Historical and Archaeological Reserve Museum will come into the market.
The Bakhchisaray Historical and Archaeological Reserve Museum is one of the most famous and frequently visited tourist destinations in Crimea. It includes 118 historical and architectural monuments and over 140,000 museum pieces. Nowadays the site comprises the Museum of History and Culture of the Crimean Tatars (the Khan’s Palace), Museum of Archaeology and Cave Towns, Ismail Gasprinski Museum, and the Art Museum.
The stamp booklet includes a rectangular postage stamp block featuring the Khan’s Palace. The booklet cover shows a panoramic view of the Bakhchisaray Historical and Archaeological Reserve Museum and inside pages feature the museum history and describe its collections and landscapes.

August 9, an envelope with an original stamp dedicated to the 150th anniversary of John Galsworthy to be issued as part of the World Cultural Luminaries series
John Galsworthy (1867–1933) – an English author, novelist and playwright, the Nobel Prize winner in Literature (1932).
Two trilogies made him wold famous and brought the Nobel Prize: The Forsyte Saga (1922) continued by A Modern Comedy (1928) where he shows morals and psychology of the English commercial upper middle class. John Galsworthy author 20 novels, 27 drama pieces, 3 poetry collections, 173 stories, 5 essays, 700 letters, and many other sketches on various topics.
The envelope with an original stamp features an arrangement of different art symbols, including a lyre, palette, book, pen, column, and theater curtain, Galsworthy’s portrait against the background of multi-volume The Forsyte Saga, and illustrations to his works.

August 11, a postage stamp dedicated to the battle of Crimea and the Siege of Sevastopol to be issued as part of the Way to Victory series
The Siege of Sevastopol and the Crimean Campaign lasted during World War II from September 24, 1941,to July 4, 1942.
The combat operations of the Soviet Army to defend Sevastopol, the key naval base of the Black Sea fleet, where the Red Army soldiers and sailors displayed heroism and valor. The Siege of Sevastopol and the Crimean Campaign had a primary strategic importance. During 10 months, the Soviet Army contained the enemy in the southern front and prevented from launching an offensive on the Caucasus.
The postage stamp shows a bas-relief featuring a group of soldiers in the battle of Crimea and the Siege of Sevastopol during World War II.
The stamp issue will include a special design cover and contain postage stamps and the first day cover canceled for Moscow and Sevastopol and five maximum cards.

The games of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ will be held in 12 stadiums of Russia’s 11 cities.
This year’s issue is dedicated to stadiums in Kaliningrad, Nizhny Novgorod, St. Petersburg, and Saransk.
Additionally, JSC “Marka” will manufacture first day covers and postmarks for Volgograd, Ekaterinburg, Kazan, Kaliningrad, Krasnodar, Krasnodar region, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov-on-Don, Samara, St. Petersburg, Saransk, Sochi, and also an illustrated cover with four stamps and first day covers with cancellation (Moscow) inside

August 23, a postage stamp dedicated to the 200th anniversary of Archimandrite Antonin (Kapustin) to be issued
Archimandrite Antonin (1817-1894) is an officer of the Russian Orthodox Church and an outstanding Russian religious and political figure, archaeologist, historian, religious writer, Byzantine scholar, and the head of the Russian Orthodox Ecclesiastical Mission in the Holy Land.
Antonin was elected an honorary member of many Russian and international associations and awarded with order of Saint Vladimir 2 degree and Saint Anna’s 1 degree, to name just a few.
The postage stamp features the portrait of Archimandrite Antonin, the Transfiguration Church in Baturino village of the Kurgan Region, where his father was a senior priest, and the Ascension Monastery in Jerusalem, where the Archimandrite Antonin was buried.

August 24, a postage stamp dedicated to the guerrilla war to be issued as part of the Way to Victory series
Guerrilla warfare is an integral part of any lingering war conflict.
The guerrilla movement covered the majority of civilians resident in the occupied territories and became an important driver of the Soviet armed resistance to the German Army during World War II. Guerrillas inflicted huge losses on the enemy and demoralized and contained its forces, disrupted food and ammunition supplies and destroyed the German army’s infrastructure.
The postage stamp shows a bas-relief featuring partisans among whom elderly people, women and children.

August 29, a postage stamp dedicated to Fazu Alijeva, a poet, to be issued as part of the Cavaliers of the Order of St. Andrew the Apostle the First-Called series
Fazu Alijeva (1932-2016) is an outstanding poet, novelist, and journalist, a prominent public figure, a national poet of Dagestan, and a holder of the Order of St. Andrew the Apostle the First-Called.
She authored more than 80 books of poems and novels, many of which were translated into 68 languages.
Fazu Alijeva was awarded with two Badge of Honor Orders, the Order of Peoples’ Friendship, Orders of Merit for the Motherland of 4 and 3 degrees, and the Order of Merit for the Republic of Dagestan, along with many foreign and civic awards and literary prizes. In 1969, she was awarded the title of the national poet of Dagestan. In 2002, she was awarded the Order of St. Andrew the Apostle the First-Called, Russia’s highest decoration, for her special merits to Russia.
The postage stamp features Alijeva’s portrait against her writing table and the sign of the Order of St. Andrew the Apostle the First-Called.

August 30, two postage stamps dedicated to the Aleksandrovsky Kremlin and Vologda Kremlin to be issued as part the Russian City Fortresses series
The Aleksandrovsky Kremlin or the Aleksandrovskaya village is an ancient Russian fortress known from mid-14th century. Ivan the Terrible makes the Aleksandrovsky Kremlin the headquarters for negotiating with foreign ambassadors to sign government treaties and receive ambassadors from different states and the Pope.
The Vologodsky Kremlin is a historical and architectural ensemble in Vologda founded as a fortress in 1567 by the order of Ivan the Terrible. It was used as a fortification in the 16th and 17th centuries.
The postage stamps feature the Aleksandrovsky Kremlin and Vologodsky Kremlin.
