June 4, a postage stamp dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Republic of Ingushetia is issued



The Republic of Ingushetia was founded on June 4, 1992. Its capital is the town of Magas. Ingushetia is one of the most picturesque North Caucasus republics. A narrow strip of land stretching from the north to the south, it encompasses a steppe, sylvan foothills, Alpine pastures and the Greater Caucasus Mountain Range with its permanent snow. Rich natural resources, and a large number of unique historical and architectural landmarks provide ample opportunities to develop ecological, extreme, cultural and other tourism.

Nowadays, Ingushetia is developing dynamically boasting considerable economic, intellectual and cultural potential. Major agricultural and construction projects are being implemented in the region, and a tourism cluster is being created. Ingushetia is abundant in history, architecture, natural resources, and gifted, talented people.

The postage stamp depicts a flag of the Republic of Ingushetia.

Additionally, JSC “Marka” has manufactured first day covers and special cancellation postmarks for Moscow and Magas. Besides, a stamp booklet, which will comprise all the stamps dedicated to Ingush landmarks and outstanding people, will also be produced in 2017.
