April 25, a postcard with an original stamp dedicated to the 100th birth anniversary of Fyodor Khitruk to be issued


Fyodor Savelyevich Khitruk (1917–2012), a People’s Artist of the USSR, was a Soviet and Russian animator, director, script writer and translator.

He worked as an animator and director at Soyuzmultfilm in 1948–1983. He debuted as a director with an animated film The Story of a Crime (1962), a satiric comedy of noisy neighbors. In 1960, Khitruk directed and wrote screenplays for such films as Toptyzhka (1964), Boniface's Holiday (1965), Film, Film, Film (1968), and many more that won prizes at various international festivals.

The postcard with an original stamp features a portrait of Fyodor Khitruk and joined-up film frames from Film, Film, Film (Soyuzmultfilm, 1968).

Additionally, JSC “Marka” will manufacture a special cancellation postmark for Moscow.
