November 14, two postage stamps called “Sharing Our Traditions” are issued as part of the joint issue of Argentina and Russia



The peoples of Argentina and Russia treat their traditions and customs with care passing them down from generation to generation. The joint issue is dedicated to tea ceremonies of the two countries that have their own specific traits.

In Russia, porcelain or faience single tea sets consisting of small cups and saucers are used for tea-parties. The people of Argentina mainly drink mate tea; its preparation process is a sacred ritual.

The postage stamps feature a single tea set and mate.

Additionally, FSUE PTC “Marka” will manufacture an illustrated cover with the Argentinean and Russian stamps and a first day cover with cancellation (Moscow) inside.

Face value: 29 RUB each stamp.
Size of stamps: 30×42 mm, size of sheet: 140×146 mm.
Form of issue: sheet with illustrated margins of 12 (4×3) stamps (6 horizontal sets).
Circulation: 180,000 each stamp (30,000 sheets).
