A postcard with an original stamp dedicated to Moscow, a 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ Host City, to be released on November 22

FSUE PTC “Marka” supervised by the Federal Communications Agency informs that a postcard with an original stamp dedicated to Moscow, a 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ Host City, is to be issued.

Moscow is the capital of the Russian Federation, the largest European city. It is one of the world's most important economic, religious, educational, scientific, cultural and sports center; it is a city of the most valuable monuments of architecture and history.

In 1965, Moscow was awarded an honorary title of a Hero City for outstanding merits to the country, mass heroism, bravery and perseverance shown by the workers of the capital in fighting against the Nazi invaders. The city will celebrate its 870th anniversary in 2017.

The postcard bears several images. The original stamp depicts the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ Official Emblem and a scene from a game. The main image features the Friendship of Peoples fountain at ENEA (Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy) and the city panorama with the view on the Moscow Kremlin.

The print-run of the postcard is 45,000 copies. It will be available in post offices all around the country, as well as in Collector Showrooms in 15 Russian cities. Additionally, FSUE PTC “Marka” has manufactured a special cancellation postmark for Moscow (101000).
