September 13, an envelope with an original stamp dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory is issued


Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory is a higher musical education institution in Moscow, and one of the leading music universities in the country and in the world.

The Moscow Conservatory was founded in 1866. Its creation was initiated by Nikolai Rubinstein and co-founder Prince Nikolai Petrovitch Troubetzkoy, the President of the Moscow branch of the Russian Musical Society.

There are following faculties in the conservatory currently: vocal, conductor, history and theory, composer, orchestral, piano, as well as historic and modern performing art.

The envelope with an original stamp depicts the conservatory building and a lyre.

Additionally, FSUE PTC “Marka” has manufactured a special cancellation postmark for Moscow (26 Myasnitskaya St, 101000).
