December 12, a booklet “History of the World War I” is to be released


World War I (28.07.1914 – 11.11.1918) is one of the most large-scale armed conflicts in human history. The war’s casus belli was the assassination of Austrian Archduke Franz Ferdinand by Serbian terrorist Gavrilo Princip in Sarajevo on July 28, 1914.

Adversaries of this war were states of the Triple Entente (the Russian Empire, France and the United Kingdom) and states of the Quadruple Alliance (Germanу, Austria-Hungary, Ottoman Empire and Bulgaria).

A booklet consists of 10 pages and a cover: 4 stamp sheets (each with 1 stamp) and 6 pages with accompanying text.
