December 12, a postage stamp and an envelope with a commemorative stamp “Federation Council of the Russian Federation Federal Assembly” to be issued

The Federation Council of the Russian Federation Federal Assembly was formed in conformity with the Constitution of the Russian Federation adopted by national vote on December 12, 1993, as a Chamber of Parliament representing the region’s interests at the federal level and reflecting the federative nature of the Russian state.

The Federation Council is the upper chamber of Russia’s Federal Assembly which consists of 2 representatives of each Russian constituent territory: one of the representative body and one of the executive body. As an institution for regional integration and consolidation, the Federation Council ensures a balance between federal and regional interests in decision-making in the area of the country strategic development.

A FDC with cancellation is to be used as well.
