It represents an image of a revolting and deployed to the right black bear on a silver coat of arms which keeps a golden ax on the left shoulder in its left foreleg. The Coat of Arms of Yaroslavl was approved on February 27, 2001 and represents a black revolting bear placed in a golden shield which keeps in the left foot on the left shoulder with a silver ax with a dark red shaft.
