On September 6, 2013 in accordance with the decision of the Commission of the Federal Agency of Communications (Rossvyaz) on state signs of postal payment a souvenir sheet “The 18th Annual Conference and General Meeting of the International Association of Prosecutors” is issued. Under the jurisdiction of the Federal Agency of Communications the FSUE PTC “Marka” has prepared this issue.
The 18th Annual Conference and General Meeting of the International Association of Prosecutors (IAP) will held in Moscow from 8th to 12th of September.
The Association was established on the 6th of 1995 at the United Nations offices in Vienna. The Russian Prosecutor General's Office was one of the IAP’s creators and participates actively in its work. The main task of the organization is to insure the defense of human rights, the rule of law and the application of general standards of criminal procedure as well as impartial and effective investigation. The Association carries out its activity by organizing of annual and regional conferences, numerous programs. The topic of the forthcoming event is “The Prosecutor and the rule of law”.
The postage stamp depicts a logo of the IAP Conference in the city of Moscow.
The postage stamp will be on sale into all postage offices on the territory of the Russian Federation from September 6, 2013.
