On September 7, souvenir sheet of one stamp "The 150 birth anniversary of A.E. Arkhipov (1862-1930), a painter" is issued




 

Abram E. Arkhipov (1862-1930). Russian painter, the Itinerant, a genre painter, landscape painter. The main theme of his work was the life of the Russian peasantry. The most famous paintings are "Washerwomen" (1890), "On the Oka River" (1890), "North Village" (1902). In 1927, Arkhipov was awarded the title of People's Artist of the RSFSR. 

The stamp depicts a picture of the A.E. Arkhipov "Visiting" (1915), portrait of the artist is represented on the fields of souvenir sheet.
