December 3, a cancellation ceremony of the stamps in the series “Outstanding Lawyers of Russia” was held in the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation


The participants of the ceremony were Alexander Konovalov, the Minister of Justice of the Russian Federation; Oleg Dukhovnitskiy, Head of the Federal Communications Agency; Alexander Sukharev, State Counselor of Justice of Class I, Honored Lawyer of the Russian Federation.


Head of ROSCOM congratulated the workers of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation with their professional holiday and coming Day of the Constitution of the Russian Federation after the ceremony. 

The series published since 2012. During this time, the postage stamps depicted Gavrila Derzhavin, the first Minister of Justice; Anatoliy Koni, outstanding court spokesman; and miniature sheets dedicated to the lawyers such as Mikhail Speransky, Alexander Radishchev and Fedor Plevako were to be released into circulation. 

Postage stamps series "Outstanding Lawyers of Russia" in 2014 devoted to: 

Yaguzhinskiy Pavel (1683-1736), diplomat, associate of Peter I, the first General Prosecutor. Since its foundation, the prosecutor's office was opposing actively to corruption and lawlessness.

Friedrich Martens (1845-1909) - a world-class scholar, he made a great contribution to the development and consolidation of normative ideas and principles of humanitarian law, an author of the fundamental work “The modern international law of civilized nations”. Sergey Muromtsev (1850-1910) - a lawyer, the first chairman of the State Duma.
