The 2014 joint issue by the Communication Boards of the RCC member Countries (Regional Commonwealth in the field of Communications) is dedicated to winter sports.
The 78th World Ice Hockey Championship was held in Belarus on 9-25 May 2014.The Russian team for the fifth time became the winner; it won all the games just like in 2008, 2009 and 2012. The Russian national team defeated Finland in the final match and scored 5:2.
The postage stamp depicts hockey players rejoicing over the victory, and the RCC emblem.
An illustrated cover with four postage stamps and an FDC with cancellation (Moscow) inside has been prepared for the release.
